About

History

History

As a child, Mario Bilodeau was already fascinated by the trade fur. This passion will lead him to excellence in that field.

He stars his own company in the fur field in 1985. He manages alone his enterprise until 1997 when Marcel Laplante becomes the second shareholder of Bilodeau.

A rapid growth

Grounds on local development, and wildlife resource respect, Bilodeau has grown quickly thanks to its team creative spirit. Its mission consists of buying a raw local product to transform it in a finished product by using green products coming from a natural and renewable resource in accordance with the government laws and rules. Using almost the whole raw material, Bilodeau buys a wildlife raw hide, dresses it, and mounts or make over it in miscellaneous products. Hairs, feathers, bones, teeth, and claws are using to do handicraft. Bilodeau, as well, serves the movie industry since 1991 by supplying sets, costumes as uncommon as the request is.

In addition to the tannery and the taxidermy, Bilodeau has a production shop to make over fur accessories and fabric outdoor coats.

Mario Bilodeau and Marcel Laplante hire 50 employees.
